One reason that learning the piano is so popular is that you can play many songs after learning only three chords. By learning only those three simple chords a person can play Happy Birthday, Auld Lang Syne, Jingle Bells, Silent Night and at least a hundred others. Learning to play chords allows a person to play at least ten different Christmas songs. You can choose to stop there; satisfied at the simple pieces you can play or instead decide that you want to know more. Perhaps your dream of becoming a pianist will be not far away; and it will start with learning those first three chords.
