PGA Golf Turns Up on your Latest Gaming Console
If you are into golf, but the weather or your skill does not allow you to play, you can still have the fun of the game at home. The game Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2005 allows you to bring golf to your gaming console. You can compete against your tour rivals, and enjoy lengthier tees, tighter fairways, deeper bunkers, higher rough, and more. You also get a very realistic looking character to play.
This game has several features that are sure to make it a hit with golfers of all type. One of the biggest thrills of the game is the chance to play against a variety of opponents. You can play against a fantasy character, or against some of the greats. There are 15 PGA Tour players in all. Be aware though, these computer-generated challengers can be just as difficult to beat as their real-life personas!
For the fantasy players, there are some new visitors to the green. These include Billy “Bear” Hightower who is one of the best at driving the ball, and Dion “Doubled” Douglas who is a 15 year-old playing ace. GameFace II technology gives players their own distinctive looks to go with their personality.
Some of the original favorites are around to play the game again. These include Vijay Singh, Jim Furyk, John Daily, and Retief Goosen.
You can also choose to play some of the greats that have been added to the game. This includes Gary Player “The Black Knight” of golf, who turned pro in 1953 and won a total of 43 PGA Tour events. He is one of five players who has ever won at all four major tournaments, and was inducted into the World Golf Hall of Fame in 1974. Or you could play the popular Arnold “The King” Palmer, who turned pro in 1954 and won 72 PGA Tour events. He may be one of the most widely recognized players both on and off the course. Or you have Seve Ballesteros, who joined the PGA Tour from Pedrena, Spain in 1974. Besides his multiple winnings, he is also the first player to earn one, two, and three million pounds on the European tour. Or play Ben “The Hawk” Hogan who won all three majors that he played in. Last, but not least, you have Jack “The Golden Bear” Nicklaus who is perhaps one of the best all around players. He has 83 Tour victories, and has also become well known for his architecture design for golf courses.
The Game Face II feature allows your competitors and yourself to look even more lifelike than ever. There are an infinite number of combinations for the facial proportions and features, as well as a fully customizable body shape and tone. You can make your character look like yourself, or your fantasy golfer.
Another great feature of the game is the amount of new courses available. There are eight new licensed courses and two new fantasy courses, plus the returning favorites. Every golfer has favorite holes on favorite courses, either because of stunning landscape views or an easy shot at a hole-in-one. Having problems choosing just one? There are so many more courses to choose from, including: Coeur d’alene, Edgewood Tahoe Golf Course, Harbour Town Golf Links, Troon North – Monument Course, Turnberry Elisa, and the two fantasy courses, Paradise Cove and Greek Isles. With so many to choose from, you will definitely have a “Dream 18” in no time.
With PGA-themed games becoming popular on gaming consoles everywhere, it will soon be no problem for even the most beginning player to play like a pro. Golf enthusiasts everywhere will be able to enjoy the game year round regardless of their age, where they live, or their abilities.
